Educating our future generation of pet owners and vet professionals to encourage them to reach their fullest potentials!
For many kids, a stuffed animal is the first best friend and an essential pal for comfort & stress relief. Stuffed animals also stimulate creativity, communication skills, and provide the jump start to learning how to nourish a healthy, compassionate relationship with others and the world around them.
Jen the Vet created Teddy Bear Care 10 years ago in Texas, which received a 2019 Community Involvement Program of the Year award, and continues the program in Alaska hosting them through collaboration of local small businesses and the animal shelters. Teddy Bear Care is also a featured community program to lead our youth as future "leaders of the pack", in her Iconic USA impact project, as Mrs. Alaska Elemental 2024.
Kids can bring their favorite stuffed animal in for a check-up and receive a health certificate for their plush pet. A fun event for all ages to help cultivate learning about pet ownership, stewardship of animals and the environment, and be introduced to the world of veterinary medicine.
